I cannot express my discontentment further...I can point my finger at futile voters, unreliable machines, or even incompetent candidates. It's a cyclic pattern that just won't end. The best solution? End it myself.
Being a wise Filipino doesn't just stop at elections, it extends to our daily contribution to society. Even if the best, most genius, or sanctimoniously honest leads the country, situations won't get any better.
Obviously, people who rant are in the upper class of society. Those who are educated and well-informed. Those who completely understand that Philippine politics is in a seriously bad condition.
Uttering dismay over social media is a good way to start active participation, a sign of awareness. However, clamors will not carry us far. We need to establish a strong stance amidst this disheartening situation. We need to be wise. Let us learn to forward the goals of the country even on our own. Let us front this race by being the best we can in our schools, universities, workplaces, and chosen field.
Change isn't with the government, it's in our hands waiting to be sown.
